Our services

We support our customers in the field of clinical microbiology.

  • Rapid identification of rare/exotic germs (e.g., Agrobacterium).
  • Differentiation of closely related species (e.g., Escherichia/Shigella, S. mitis group).
  • Subtyping and sourcetracing; differentiation of phylogenetic lineages within a species (e.g., hospital hygiene).
  • Identification of yeasts, molds and dermatophytes.

Have your shower water tested for legionella.

Legionella are widespread environmental germs. In very small concentrations they are also present in drinking water. Under certain conditions, they can multiply strongly in the water distribution network distribution network and become a hazard to humans.

Our Legionella kit for the all-inclusive price of 78 CHF includes:

  • The delivery of a sampling kit with instructions, including prepaid return box.
  • The analysis for legionella in the laboratory of Mabritec AG.
  • Reporting by mail or email within 10 days of sample receipt.

Mix-ups or cross-contamination of cell lines used in biotechnology or diagnostics are a challenge for laboratories and cell culture are a challenge for laboratories and cell culture collections. In the last 10 years we have developed a MALDI-TOF MS method with a database for typing cell lines.

Our MALDI-TOF MS method for characterization of eukaryotic cell lines includes:

  • At least 100,000 cells in EtOH serve as sample material.
  • Samples are identified at the species level or lineage level.
  • Results are presented in tabular form and as a cluster analysis (dendrogram).
  • Reporting by mail or email within 3 day of sample receipt.
